A Shure Shootout! SRH-940 vs SRH-1440 vs SRH-1840
Assuming they were all the same price, and you could only own one pair, which do you think it would be?- kaldaim

Shure SE215 keeps breaking
This seems to be a very common problem and I'm sure Shure is aware of it. Unfortunately all you can do for now is keep sending in for replacements until you get a good pair or they fix the defect at a manufacturing level.- kaldaim

Why are your complaints on the SE535 memory wire?
I think the biggest problem is the size (length) of the cable terminations at the IEM end. If they weren't detachable and just had strain relief I don't think there would be as many complaints. The combination of the length of the terminations plus the unwieldiness of the cable makes for a...- kaldaim

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread
Have an opportunity to pick these up new for $100. Any good reason not to get them? I have the SE530 and really like them, though I find that EQing the bass up a bit makes them more enjoyable to my ear for most of my music.- kaldaim

Shure mids or similar (SM2, UM2, etc)
I have no experience with the E2's or 210's, but I own or have owned the E4's, E500's, and SE315's The 315's seem very well built (the best build quality of the Shures I've owned) and have the same in-ear fit as the E4's and E500's. The E2's have a wider nozzle than the rest of the Shure...- kaldaim

Is Push-To-Talk (PTT) from Shure useful, for customs too?
It works universally but it's really more suited for the E500's or a phone with a really short cable that relies on an extension because the microphone is at the female connection end, not on the PTH device itself. Stretched out the cord is about 3 feet end to end. The PTH device is bulky and...- kaldaim

The "hiss" sound in IEMs????
If you add some resistance to the line it will kill the hiss, or at least tame it. I soldered a 40ohm resistor into a short cable to use with my SE530's, but there are variable resistors (aka level attenuators) such as this Amazon.com: Shure Level Attenuator Listening Level Controller...- kaldaim

How do you keep your headphone cables over your ears?
Are your Shures new? I had a little trouble with my SE530's (and E500's) when they were new but once the cable stiffened up a bit I had no issues keeping them snug.- kaldaim

RE0 - add iPhone Controls?
iLuv *edit* http://www.amazon.com/iLuv-iEA15BLK-...R3R0GXPP0A837Z I have one and I love it. The build quality is iffy but it's a good length (controls end up a few inches out of the pocket) and performs its functions with no problem. Vol up, vol down, single click pause, double...- kaldaim

Best Earphones for $50-70?
I really like my NuForce NE6 for $40. They're a little on the bassy side, have nice strong cord that doesn't tangle easily, have a right-angle termination for the plug, and the company seems to have a good CS reputation. For under $75 I haven't heard anything better.- kaldaim
