Got them both now. The short of it is, if you never plan on, or at least for a couple years, getting headphones that cost more then $400, get the CKS1000 and be happy with them, they are definitely worth it. But if you have any inkling that you will be getting new headphones of a higher class...

I would just like to chime in that after just a day of burn in, my H3 sounded much more well rounded. But it does not emphasize bass(it doesn't emphasize the lows even with the large dynamic driver), it just plays a fair amount for how much is in the recording. Also, I think it may depend on...

It seemed like it would be at first, but now it feels nice to listen to for extended periods. There is a mic on the remote cable, but it only has one button. It has ear loops on the cable that prevent it from being worn down. It is strictly over-ear.
