dj doesnt need to hear sound like in the source. DJ needs to know how it sounds on the dance floor. Thats why bass boost is good in hd8's remember please about big subwoofers in clubs or party soundsystems.

Ok. Maybe they doesn't have sparkly highs but they have perfect highs for beatmatching and dj mixing actually.

I look at it from a DJ point of view. And that's why I believe that HD8 are better than srh1540...more sturdy and with better accesories. but of course for a year or two we'll check how it is with this durability. I am sure it will be fine but...

      hd8 are more expensive because you pay extra for EXTRA durability, reliability and EXTRA accessories...AND they are great acctualy.

I just checked they at the party (psytrance). I gave they to try a few friends dj. We all agreed that they are great. isolation, bass, beatmatching. They are worth the money. When you have them on your ears you feel that you have something precious.

I had a lot of dj headphones, many I've used at parties from friends (many of them, even the expensive ones broke after a year). These look for the most durable and have the best isolation and the sound is really very good. next Saturday I'll check them at the party in the club with a large...

for dj very important things are: durability, isolation, volume,  foldable, detachable cable, spare accessories (cable and earcups), carrying case... If you combine all this with really good sound ...then for dj  which plays every weekend, gets paid for it then these headphones are not that...
