Tung-Sol 7236. I have the WA3 connected to the unbalanced output on my Schiit Modius. The WA3 works fine with my Amperex 6922 and JJ 6922 using the same power tube. Just not the EH 6922 for some reason.

Has anyone had bad experiences with EH 6922s on the WA3? Tried two different sets and they both had hum, despite working fine on my Liquid Platinum.

Just rolled a pair of Amperex Bugle Boy D-Getter ECC88s (not sure of production year) and I love the result. Very warm, liquidy, smooth signature. Plus, it's cool to have tubes made 60 years ago.

Got a hell of a deal on a WA3 and tube collection. WA3 Preamp Tubes: Amperex Bugle Boy 6922, EH 6922, JJ 6922 Power Tubes: Tung-sol 6080, RCA 6080, Westinghouse 6080 All for $330. So far I’m loving it. Pairs well with my 650 and 800 S.

New owner here. This is a long thread and seems to be less active nowadays. Can someone recommend a socket saver that's currently available for order? I'm looking to try out various tubes. Any recommendations for a warmer (that stock EH) but detailed signature?
