Just received these babies to replace my Ed8 for portable use. I must agree that they don't sound as "Wow" as the Ed8 on first listen. Although all the detail is there, the soundstage feels a tad more congested than the Ed8, the upper registers with female vocals have that metallic tinge to them. Thats kinda surprising since I've been listening to the EX1000 the past month or so extensively.   Anyhow, the Fostex HP-P1 can't seem to drive the SigPro as well as I had hoped. Adding on my trusty iQube helps a fair bit with the aforementioned...

Just received it. Sounds amazing with my current phones. The 2 filter options are really handy to help taper off phones that had too much of a treble spike (using filter 1), while the "flatter" sounding phones sounded awesome with filter 2.   Soundstage improvements aren't that noticeable compared to my iQube width wise. But there is a noticeable improvement in the layering of depth in the soundstage. Helps with imaging and makes everything that much more "3D".   Going to spend a couple of weeks listening to it and report back~

Got my EXK couple of days back fresh from Japan :) Late to the party but what the heck~ Wanted a pair of dynamic IEMs to complement my TF10s while waiting for K3003 to cool off a little on the price hehe.. (would definitely help if they came out with a version with removable cables too!)   Out of the box virgin listen was kinda disappointing. Sibilance is really pretty bad... not just on female vocals but also on some male vocals as well. Crossed my fingers and started burning em in on white noise over 30 hours with volume set to 2 notches...
