Well I just tried the mod on my M50's, which have had about 100 hours of burn-in. Although the sound had settled down a lot during this time there was always the niggling issue of the recessed mids. Also, the bass tended to overpower the lower mids a bit, making some recordings sound a bit murky...

Thanks m8, I must admit even after 2-3 hours they are sounding better. Right now I certainly don't feel my money has been wasted. ;) Damn, these things keep reaching down and finding more bass. Knopfler sounds like warm butter.

Just got mine, ordered from brianf on ebay (lots of folks seem to order theirs from him) - $105US and got to South Africa in about 10 days, which is impressive.   First impressions: Hectic amount of bass - almost too much at first, but I believe it will calm down over time. Nice and clean...
