VSonic GR07 vs SE 215
So I'm in the market for new IEM's after the dog ate mine. Looking for a decent set in the $100-$150 range. Listen to all sorts of music - Metal, EDM, Hip Hop, Podcasts. Doing my research I think both the SE 215's and GR07's sound like good candidates for me. Decent bass is something I'm...- jt4266

Matrix Mini-i Balanced DAC+HP amp
Just purchased the Matrix Mini-i from Tam Audio after debating between this and the Yulong D100. Honestly price was the deciding factor. My first foray into the world of DAC's and looking forward to trying it out!- jt4266

Need an amp for AKGK701 with Digital/fibre input + built in DAC?
I'd like to ask an additional question as I'm after something similar in terms of a dac/amp combo for my xbox and laptop. Are there any other comparable options < $450 price mark? How does the DacMagic compare? In the short term I'm just running these to Audioengine A5's so theoretically...- jt4266

So after reading more I can articulate what I'm looking for in a couple of bullet points and hopefully get a few DAC/amp suggestions: DAC and amp that: -Has USB(for laptop) and optical(Xbox360) inputs -Amp is powerful enough to drive cans such as Senn 360 -Can use as preamp for...- jt4266

Starting From Scratch - Scalable Setup
Hi All, I have been reading through the headfi threads regarding DACS, Amps and the like. I've made the decision to start building an audio rig but am starting small. I currently run my laptop straight to my AudioEngine A5's and use IEM's with my Sansa Clip+. The first step it would...- jt4266

Apple IEM - most underrated IEMs on the market
I think the sound of these is pretty good, especially for the $35 price I paid a few months back. How can I tell if I have the newer IEM's or the old ones? I'm looking to buy some foam Comply tips.- jt4266

RE0 vs UM1
Both of these are comparable in cost and are well liked IEM's. I had UM1's but they met their untimely demise by dog. I liked them well enough and would consider a repurchase but the RE0's are getting a lot of press around here. I'm looking for: -Good isolation for subway -Very little or...- jt4266

Another Thread for IEM Suggestions
I'm looking to replace my UM1's which were attacked by a family dog. I would consider these again but wanted to see if at that price point(about $100) there were other better options. I listen to music and talk radio unamped from my Sansa Fuze - rock, metal, techno and some hip hop so an all...- jt4266

audioengine A2 vs. m-audio av40
If I have a choice between used A5's for $200 or the Swan M200 MKII for $189(which will come out to be a few dollars more than $200) what is the better choice for hooking up to a laptop through a DAC?- jt4266
