Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I had an opportunity to audition a sample of the UE 11 and the IE 800 for just a few minutes in a store. And i was totally impressed by how the UE sounded when compared to the 800s. Having read somewhere in the forum that the SE846 is a cheaper alternative to CIEM, that led me to grab one. ...- jpvm

Agreed. I got my 846 around 3 PM yesterday and had too forcibly pull them out of my ears around 2 AM as I needed some sleep. Sleepless nights here we come!- jpvm

Just a question, how do you claim the warranty in case the unit go bust within the warranty period? That's one of the earlier concerns I have in mind about buying online. Kindly to enlighten a newbie.- jpvm

Audiophiles in Dubai?
True. Saw an advertised Grado in Samma3a and they just cost the same as Virgin's. Any suggestions what brands Dubai Audio offer that is similar in price-point and sonics to the sr325e?- jpvm

Will keep those two sources in mind. Currently checking the options on shipping to UAE from outside. Saw this website, www.earphonesolutions.com and they ship internationally. Anyone bought from this site?- jpvm

Indeed. I checked online, and the hp retails in the US at around 295 and Virgin sells them at 435 USD! Never tried buying online and shipping stuff here. So i usually end up buying my gears from Virgin mostly.- jpvm

Audiophiles in Dubai?
I did ask, unfortunately, the ones I saw in Mirdif City Centre and Dubai Mall were all sealed and they said that they can't open one for a demo. There was a demo unit in Dubai Mall but it was the PS500e. It will be with blind faith that I will make this purchase believing that it would, of...- jpvm

Audiophiles in Dubai?
Just want to ask around if anyone owns/owned/tried the Grado SR325e as I saw one in Virgin Megastore. Would it be good with a Fiio X3 or iPhone 4/Fiio E07k combo? Or are there alternatives (locally available) from other brands that you guys can suggest. A fledgling into the hobby - I have...- jpvm

Yes, those tips. The ones for Westones have narrow holes which could possibly get smaller or deformed when inserted in the ears. I read somewhere in the head-fi forum to cut the westone tips shorter to improve the treble.- jpvm

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
Count me in! Loving them, um pro 30. It totally sound awesome as compared to my Shure se215 and Denon ADH1100. I used the Shure's foam tips instead of what came with it, and the highs opened up. Shure's tips have a bigger orifice, so maybe that helped a lot.- jpvm
