    Home-Made IEMs

Has anyone here made any DIY universals? I know it probably seems counterintuitive. If you're going to make your own IEMs you may as well make them custom to fit your soundholes right? Regardless, I think some well designed/crafted universals would be really super.

The 9963 tips appear to be roughly the same size and shape as those on the others, only made using clear silicone rather than pigmented. The problem for most people seems to be that, because the unit is so large, the included tips (which on my 9927's aren't bad, just average) can't go far...

Thanks! Glad you like them. That little opening is where I screwed up the seam a little. The casing is closed but the outer plastic is damaged from prying. Not going to lie, stuff like that does bug me so I may fill it with some resin and smooth it all out. I want to take a dremel to the...

Yeah when I saw your post I wished I had seen it sooner. If it makes you feel any better I'll probably get the 9963's when I eventually need more. I kind of want to make a detachable cable like these anyway, but with a flat cable: http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/4002/lq1y.jpg

Just got some 9927's and Comply T-400's in the mail. Not that any more verification is needed, these things really do sound incredible; especially for the price. I had concern that their bulky form-factor would really take a toll on comfort though, with the T-400's they're actually a pretty...
