    Just bought some Ultrasones DJ1s...

Not sure who wrote the review, but the DJ1 and the HFI-550 are EXACTLY the same, except for the colour and cord. It's the most BASSY headphone in the Ultrasone lineup! Between that and the DJ1 PRO/PROline 550, I dont think I've heard another headphone as bassy, or as bass CAPABLE as these. I...

    The Ultrasone HFI-2200 (56k, no)

The way the PROline headphones work is that there is one SINGLE driver behind the metal MU plate. There are holes punched into the plate...my guess is for the tuning of the sound. On the rear of the driver are blanking "stickers" of different sizes (depending on model) that also tunes the sound...

    The Ultrasone HFI-2200 (56k, no)

if you would like to re-wire your Ultrasone PROlines, it shouldnt be that complicated. A normal 1/8 jack will plug right into the threaded 1/8" connector...except that it will come out easily. You can use some silicone or glue to hold it in place. If you would like to wire it up on both...

unfotunately, I dont have an Edition 7....they were all sold out long ago. I should be getting an Edition 9 one of these days, but not in time for the meet. Anything else? The HFI-700 perhaps? It's a good set for watching DVD's etc...I wouldn't put it up there as a pure audiophile-type set...

Great! I usually stay at Bloor/Ossington, so its not far from me at all! I'll bring: Ultrasone PROline2500 HFI-2200 HFI-15G and iCans (for portable users) Any other particular models anyone wanna try?

Is Ultrasone HFI 700 truly fatiguing???

Maybe the HFI-650's will suit you better. Same drivers, but different tuning for a more neutral, relaxed mellow sound
