No you still have bass boost its just on the adapter. You plug your two pin or MMCX cable into those adapters and then on to what ever 4 pin JHA IEM you have.

My JH 11 Pros are nearly 10 years old and still fit as perfectly as they did when I got them. The pin sockets are a little loose likely from all the cable changes but I never use them anymore anyway since I have Roxanne and Layla now lol.

Probably just the angle of the photo or something cause they're huge lol. Here they are compared to my Roxanne thickness wise.

All versions should sound the same, I can only speak for the original universals and customs but they were both the same. I think the goal with each iteration was to improve the fit since they were so huge.

Love JH but ouch, a $1000+ price increase for essentially a housing upgrade is pretty crazy. However I won't deny it looks really good and the way they designed the sonic tube chassis is pretty cool. I assume this the way they will construct all their universals going forward?
