Judging from reviews from various sources, the mkii is a smoother tuning of the og rather than an upgrade. Some may even prefer the better spacing and soundstage of the og over the mkii. So it's not a direct sonic improvement but a different flavour would be much accurate.

Joined the mest family three days ago with a mint condition mest og hk special+ edition by a fair price. Pairing with dx220 amp8ex so far with very impressive result. Anyone here also using this combo? Been switching around with low and high gain. Any suggestions?

Long time dx228ex user here, just grabbed a n3pro for the special tube sound! Of course the n3pro needs to burnin but initial impression is very positive already. Been playing with the 3.5 and 4.4 out of the n3pro with my iems and listen yo my fav tracks. Will update soon after proper burnin time.

Updated the new fidelizer advance purist firmware today. SQ difference is surprisingly quite noticeable. Soundstage improved and everything sounds more airy too. Using amp8 mod with iem.

Get back the modded amp8 from my friend today and the differences are very noticeable even with just 8 hrs of burn in. The mid is much more detailed and opened. Bass is much more impactful and the soundstage is expanded. Can't wait to hear the improvement after more burn in time for the new caps.
