Changing pads on the Beyerdynami DT660
Put your fingernail between the plastic and the leather/pleather, and just take of the pad thing. It will come loose. I prefer the leather-like pads.- johang

Just received Beyer DT231 today...Most underrated headpones ever?!
Maybe yours were broken ? I've eq'ed mine a bit, and that does make a difference, especially in the mid-range. Comparing them to a more expensive piece of headphone, the DT660, i prefer the sound of the DT660, but at the price of the DT231 it cruches it's bigger brother into little pieces...- johang

The HD25-1's
And I definitley prefer the HD280. I think they are the perfect closed headphone. Tight controlled bass and pretty neat highs for a closed headphone. Definitley better than the HD25-1 IMHO. johanG.- johang

The HD25-1's
OK, i agree with your definition of soundstage, my english might be the problem in communicating this. I also, to some extent agree with you when it comes to soundstage not in recordings. I however, think you seem to have an opinion that it is bad, or ? I like this "false" soundstage in acoustic...- johang

The HD25-1's
soundstage is the "room" in the sound you are hearing. if you are listening to a recording from a live jazz scene and all sound is in your head, you have no soundstage. if some sounds are from the left, or slight ahead to the right, you're headphones got soundstage. a lot of electronic music...- johang

30 second HD25-1 review
The HD25-1 (no, not the SP) has a firm bass, and does a lot of music well. However, if there are tiny nuances in the music I find them a failing headphone. Meaning that they do pop and rock like no other headphone, -very very well, but that they fail at doing anything on acoustic music, like...- johang

The HD25-1's
What about the DT231 ? I think they are nicer, but they don't isolate that well. They are just as durable, and they sound mutch more controlled.- johang

30 second HD25-1 review
I've heard the hd25-1. The dt231 is better for portable use. Mutch more controlled in all areas. And not to mention on the hd25-1; it has NO soundstage at all.- johang

Beyerdynamic Dt660 impression
I have the DT660 too. I like the sound. It can be harsh if you have a low power device (eg. 7mw+7mw), but if you use somthing with more power (like 20mw pr. channel) it sounds good also in the highs.- johang

Fixing DT440s ghey headband
if you are scared of the new beyer line, stay away from the ultrasones as well, they have the same headband. and i think the hd280 shares some parts of it as well.- johang
