RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
Ah, OK ... I will have to research the benefits of using a pre-amp such as the ADI-2. My typical setup (once I am back to my old desk/house) is a 5.1 surround sound so I don't think it would work since the ADI-2 is only two channels, right?- jklimek

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
Sorry, I edited my post to mention passive speakers. I think if I use active speakers I can use the ADI-2 as a DAC (and EQ?) but I'm wondering if I can also use the ADI-2 amplifier to power the speakers.- jklimek

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
Is it possible to use the ADI-2 DAC to power small (passive) computer speakers? If this is possible, can anybody give me any recommendations or information? I obviously use the ADI-2 with headphones but I find myself occasionally wanting small speakers. I can buy small self-powered speakers...- jklimek

What's the recommended 3.5mm (1/8") with 6.35mm (1/4") screw-on connector/plug?
Thanks! However, I'm looking for the 3.5mm connector that would thread into that adapter.- jklimek

I'm not sure if I'm using the right terminology but I'm looking for a 3.5mm (1/8") male plug that can screw into a 6.35mm (1/4") male adapter. It seems like a lot of headphones include cables with these but I'm trying to build my own cable. Thanks!- jklimek

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters
Are there any bluetooth transmitters to pair with an RME ADI-2-DAC FS? I know it won't be perfect (Bluetooth audio is mostly lossy anyways) but I'd like to run everything through my ADI-2 (headphones, bluetooth, etc). Ideally the transmitter will support aptX adaptive (with low latency mode...- jklimek

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
Are there any clever solutions to using the ADI-2 to output to a bluetooth transmitter? I know there are USB bluetooth transmitters for computers, but it would be nice to output everything from the PC to the ADI-2 and then output to headphones or bluetooth. Stupid idea or is this possible? If...- jklimek

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
It's an unbalanced cable for the DT-1990 (short cable to connect Qudelix 5K DAC/AMP). It looks like the Mogami 2893 has 3 colored conductors (red, black, and blue) plus a clear conductor. It sounds like I can just use the red+black+clear for L/R/GND? Also, sorry for the dumb question but do I...- jklimek

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Hey guys ... I'm building a 1 foot custom Mini-XLR to 3.5mm cable with Mogami 2893 and Paracord 550. Do I need the shielding or should I just use three of the conductors from the Mogami 2893? Also, are there any tips or do you just basically put the conductors inside the Paracord and then...- jklimek

RME ADI-2 DAC Thread
Is this DAC/AMP/DSP still worth buying or is there anything better in the price-range? I've seen a few of these on eBay for under $800 which doesn't seem too bad when you compare buying these devices separately.- jklimek

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters
Sorry, I should have explained my devices. I'm using the Creative BT-W5 on my MacBook Pro (M1 Pro) with Apple Music and the Qudelix 5K (connected to DT-1990s).- jklimek

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters
Sorry, but I have another question... I'm using the BT-W5 which shows support for 'aptX High Quality' with 24 bit and up-to 96 kHz. However, when I connect it to the Qudelix 5K it only shows 48 kHz. I've made sure that the BT-W5 is using 'High Quality' (using the Creative app).- jklimek

aptX Adaptive / aptX Lossless USB Transmitters
Yeah I saw that page too, thanks. I was wondering if there might be an iOS app or something that might not be 100% accurate but enough to see a difference.- jklimek
