I prefer the Atriums personally, the treble isn't as fatiguing and the bass is more solid. I prefer the Aeolus over the HD650 though, and the HD650 over my DT1770s.

Cayin HA-6A Class A KT88/EL34 Tube Headphone Amplifier

I had a friend help me out and did a blind test on my laptop since the noise isn't there. If there's a difference I certainly can't distinguish it, I guessed 5/8 right so just around the middle. Would probably even out to 50/50 with a larger test sample size. I know I was just guessing too, I...

Cayin HA-6A Class A KT88/EL34 Tube Headphone Amplifier

I'm using my babyface pro as an interface, I use the XLR input for my shure SM7B. It also offers unmatched internal audio routing options. Finally, the low latency ASIO peformance is the best I've experienced in my 20+ years of producing music. Unless there's an interface that's comparable...

Cayin HA-6A Class A KT88/EL34 Tube Headphone Amplifier

Yeah, the babyface let me down in this regard. Everything else about it is beyond anything I've ever had though, the low latency ASIO performance, the rock solid drivers, and the ability to route internal audio to whever I want, nothing came close aside from the old focusrite saffire pro 40 I...

Alright this is nice now. Trying out some JJ KT88s, they sound warmer vs GEC KT8C. They look brand new too. A bunch more 12au7's came in too, gonna have fun tube rolling this weekend.

My Topping HS02 USB isolator was getting extremely hot. Also it led to my babyface having some driver instability on occasion, which is never an issue with RME drivers. I ended up getting a Schitt Modius, and sending my babyface digital out over an optical toslink cable in spdif mode. It's...

Oh crap, I've had mine on the KT88 selection. Sounded great, I've switched it to EL34 now though don't want to damage anything. -- man I swear it sounded better with KT88 selected

Cayin HA-6A Class A KT88/EL34 Tube Headphone Amplifier

I swapped the power tubes out for some GEC KT8Cs. Man they really sound fantastic, took my enjoyment to the next level. Some Baldwin and Dupont 12au7 pairs showed up today too so that's been fun. I think I prefer the stock JJ input tubes, need more time listening though. Looking forward to more...

Cayin HA-6A Class A KT88/EL34 Tube Headphone Amplifier

Great news, this topping isolator solved the noise. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTZTDVMK Plugged in it between my PC and DAC, computer doesn't even notice and just sees the DAC as normal, and the noise is completely gone. Amp is sounding great, now I can get to the fun part and start rolling...

Cayin HA-6A Class A KT88/EL34 Tube Headphone Amplifier

Hi Andy, First thanks for all the support here, I really do appreciate it. I've confirmed it is usb interference causing the problem, there is no noise in the following scenario: Laptop Plugged In (Same strip as PC) -> Laptop USB powering Babyface Pro FS PC Onboard Digital Output -> Babyface...
