Watches - another passion of ours, it seems...post your pics!

Wowzers, BR03 is on my list ever since I saw one in person. Its real sharp. Too bad they cost quite a bit.

Watches - another passion of ours, it seems...post your pics!

Quote: Absolutely stunning. One of the finest watches you can buy without going into ridiculous price territory. I doubt I'd ever be in a position to own something like that, but one can dream. Wear it in good health and I hope your son can grow up to appreciate such a fine timepiece, its...

Audiophile Quality CD's - What's the Story Here??

One thing I would say though is to not buy something just because its a gold disc or MFSL. Sometimes the albums they put out were never high quality recordings to begin with, and unless you enjoy the music and are a real fan of the particular album, you aint gonna get too much out of it. But if...

    Opeth - Heritage

Quote: YES, you nailed it, thats what annoys me the most in this album. There are some very nice melodies that have great potential with jarring loud or out of melody bits seemingly randomly popping up just to appear to be proggy Crimson like or Yes like. The dark tone and soft mood ...

    Opeth - Heritage

Quote: Hey, thanks for a cool rec. I am listening to their previous album "Tall Poppy Syndrome" and am really digging it. Will check out Bilateral soon. Great find, thanks!

    Opeth - Heritage

Yeah I had this craving for an EPIC departure bang in the middle somewhere going into some heavy stuff, to add more dynamics, but this is the band trying something completely different and not trying to just add to what they do, instead they have set aside Opeth for a bit to give us a different...

    Opeth - Heritage

Watershed + Steve Wilson + past influences like King Crimson and Deep Purple - thundering riffs - death growls - blast beats = Heritage   atleast based on first listen

Looking for Compact Speakers, please help

The new Pioneer bookshelf from bestbuy has been getting a lot of positive reviews for its price. This might be your cheapest and best bet.   The RC-Mini's are real good and a definite step up from these, if you can find a good price for them, get them, but I wouldnt pay full price for them...

Is this really true? Can someone confirm this, I keep hearing Omega's are going to go up in price real soon, even the ones out there right now. Or is it just partially true?

$100 speakers for a workout room

All the more why you should go the used route then, any decent looking active speaker is certainly going to grab attention.

$100 speakers for a workout room

I'm guessing you mean active speakers. Its gonna be a bit hard to find good active speakers for 100$, the ones that are there will probably not survive too long in an outdoors style environment with lots of dust and heat. Especially stuff like the M audio AV-30 which is already notorious for...

New Radiohead album in 5 days!!!

Well here's hoping we'll get a great album. Alteast Radiohead is still alive and kicking. This certainly helps get over the collapse of some of the big bands like White Stripes, Portnoy leaving DT, Frusciante leaving RHCP, and loss of some greats like DIO and Peter Steele just to name a few off...
