LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

Right, it's definitely not driver flex because it's not a DD, but it's a clicking type sound that sounds a lot like like driver flex, and happens pretty much constantly for me in the one earpiece if I move my head, open my mouth, etc. In any event I was just wondering if anyone else had...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

Yeah, unfortunately this isn’t like DD driver flex, so no tricks like these make any difference. I probably should just crack it open and poke around since I can’t get much enjoyment from them now anyways.

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

I'm curious if anybody knows of a DIY fix for the "driver flex" type issue with the s12? I regret not sending mine back when I bought them, there was some occasional driver flex "clicking" in the right earpiece, but it wasn't too bad and I didn't feel like sending the unit all the way back to...

iFi audio GO blu - Super small. Super light. Super Sound.

Thanks for posting this, I got one yesterday and it has allowed me to finally start using my Blu with my most sensitive IEMs. Unfortunate that this is required, but I am so happy with the sound and performance of the device otherwise, so it’s a compromise worth making.

iFi audio GO blu - Super small. Super light. Super Sound.

I've been trying to update the firmware on my Go Blu with no success: 1. Tried updating on android with the version of GAIA that comes with the Go Blu download, and received the "Device ID Not Match" error. 2. Tried updating on android with the version of GAIA that comes with Griffon, like vdim...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

In my experience with chi-fi TWS, the lack of multi-language support in the documentation, prompts or phone app can be a barrier to adoption. I have literally dozens of wired chi-fi IEMs and a chi-fi desktop DAC/AMP so I'm definitely all for the cost benefits that chi-fi gear can provide. It's...

    The discovery thread!

I have actually turned the TFZ Series 2 into my daily driver/at work set, on a NiceHCK cable with a mic. I use it all day long for video meetings and then also listening to music during the day between meetings. They're punchy but fairly balanced, nice mids and vocals. Their plastic shells are...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

I've had the S12 for a couple of days now, thought I'd give my thoughts, and since I do have the 7HZ Timeless too I'll make a lot of comparisons between the two sets. The S12 does have very good detail retrieval and does seem to have a bit more sharpness in raw detail retrieval compared to the...

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

Glad to see all of the happy S12 owners so far. I jumped in on the early bird pricing and am looking forward to my set arriving, hopefully within a week or so.

LETSHUOER S12 - Next big planar? (Impressions & Discussion)

Where have you all seen the frequency response graph? I haven't seen it on any of the listings so far. Thanks. E: oh there's a tiny glimpse of the manufacturer's graph in the booklet in their unboxing video, I guess that gives a bit of a hint

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I'm not sure exactly which Technics set you're referring to, but I'm assuming you mean the AZ60, and I don't have that set. I do have the Technics AZ70, the Jabra Elite 85t and I briefly owned the JBL Club Pro, and I found that each of them are more comfortable than the Sony WF-1000XM4 to me...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I recently bought a JBL Club Pro set, as it was on sale for under $80 USD, and I thought I'd share the experience. I am not very impressed for many reasons, but on top of that the left earbud is defective and will not charge. so it's going back regardless. For the good - the fit is comfortable...

Stock cable works fine for me. It's soft and comfortable to wear, sounds great, no complaints.

    Yanyin Discussion thread

Yeah, Aladdin isn't the worst offender in terms of BA timbre, like it's nothing as bad as ER4 series in that regard. However it's noticeable to me in back-to-back listening with the Aladdin other sets. Even with the very inexpensive DD-based KZ DQ6 there is a noticeable difference to me where...

    Yanyin Discussion thread

I think Aladdin has midrange pushed more forward, maybe more intimate is the right way to describe it, like the midrange is definitely the most prominent focal point of the entire sound on Aladdin. Maybe more raw detail in the Aladdin midrange too. But I also think that Timeless has better...
