You're right.  I've only been playing guitar for 31 years.  But you have to walk around with cans on all the time to be a real fanatic.  

Same here, and it really has nothing to do with looks.  I like to hear what's going on around me.  I don't like being oblivious.  Plane ride or something, sure.  But just walking around?  Lol, no.  I'd actually feel like an idiot.  Seriously, you can't just go to the store without listening to...

If I'm going to be using it regularly, I just leave them on my desk.  Otherwise, I keep them in the case.  No a big deal to get them back to par for me.

I'm trying to decide on the best way to go with for an amp/dac.  I am considering the FiiO E12 and the Dragonfly.  Any input would be appreciated.  The P7s sound great straight from source, just want to give them that little nudge in to greatness.  Also not looking to break the bank.  

Same fix for me. I added right at a quarter inch to where they "should" be and now there's no discomfort. I would have thought that doing this would have added undue stress to my ears/head, but interestingly, it doesn't at all. Great headphones.

Yup.  Took me a bit to find the ideal position for them, but now they're like sliding on an old pair of slippers.  I also like how supple the ear pieces have become with use.  

I've decided on the hd598 as my open phones to compliment my p7. Can't wait to get them. I think they look awesome too

Could just be the recording itself, I don't know.  I'll defer to those more knowledgeable than myself.     Again, I haven't heard another album that was that cramped.  I listen to everything from Brahms to Metallica, Boston to Tupac.  So, I've heard a broad spectrum

Just noticed that Amazon is selling the P7s for $489.99.  Why would they have them over MSRP?
