I did not receive an email either, but after contacting them, the pads had been sent like the others and they gave me the tracking number. Maybe it's because I am from Canada, are you too? Anyway, they just left the US according to tracking and they're on their way here.

I can  only think that she/he was being sarcastic/joking considering his/her cable inventory and previous posts ... Anyway, I am not saying that cables are making a difference in sound (I tend more to think otherwise but it's not the place to talk about that), just saying that OCC is more...

And if someone cares about the cable, PM-1 comes with OCC (OFC for PM-2) which adds $$ again.

Hastur,   Are the new pads for the PM-1 still scheduled to ship this week to PM-1 owners? Not trying to be a spoiled brat here, just can't wait to try the new toy!   Thanks for your involvement here !

Let's not forget that it's (for now) the opinion of just one person. Others said otherwise when listening to the new pads, saying that the Oppo went from poo (another hyperbole?) to good with the new pads. Time will tell I guess (or not) ...

Yes. All pads (at one point) will be available to anyone.

Am I right to also think that despite the fact that the new pads will be similarly tuned (PM-2 and the ones shipped to PM-1 owners), there will still be the difference that the PM-1's will be leather and not the PM-2's? Could it make a slight sound difference between them?

HiFiAudio,   Hi and thanks for the help but I have a pair of PM-1 (which I really enjoy BTW) and the new pads are also coming my way. I was just curious of his opinion on the differences between the two with the actual pads since I have the impression that we may have similar tastes in sound...

Since you had the PM-1, how would you compare them to the HE-560? Thanks.
