I think I can call this audio chain complete for now. Unlike the now worn out Apple USB Type-C dongle. The FiiO KA11 isn't running out of power and I can ask for more even when it's already clearly uncomfortably loud and I actually managed to EQ the 2 lowest octaves or so way up thanks to all...- JEHL

Should I guess this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how much of the audiophile glossary (for lack of a better wording) is up to potential reinterpretation or even misinterpretation? The biggest reason I can't be bothered to ever write a review in the 1st place is the perpetual...- JEHL

Bass in general is something I'll never fully understand because of just how blurry the line between bass and midrange is. I've seen comments unironically calling 350Hz upper bass, while some call 200Hz midrange. It seems I've got a case of sorites paradox here. Even my best understanding of...- JEHL

Something I want to highlight about the difficulty of relying purely on subjectivism, albeit not impossible. Not too long ago I was checking the KE4 reviews and they were all over the place when it comes the KE4's overall presentation, specially on its bass shelf. I think most have no complaints...- JEHL

If it seems weird. It's the MSRP of the Sony WF-1000XM5, AKA the most expensive in-ear that regularly breaks 1k sales per month on Amazon. If I use 10k+ sales per month instead, it becomes even more restrictive as that title belongs to the Apple AirPods 2 Pro with an MSRP of $250 but seems to...- JEHL

So... Favorite IEM(s) for up $300 so far, and why if able. Edit: Or just plain headgear at this point.- JEHL

Curious. I showed the Kiwi Ears KE4 to my Destiny 2 clan leader and a moderator. They didn't think much of the pricing, and I think the reason is mainly because the leader wants the Galaxy Buds3 Pro and the moderator has the AirPods Pro. When I did the same for the Fidue Thunder, well the...- JEHL

https://arendalsound.com/series/1528-series/ I kind of wonder who the target audience for these are. The only thing I can make of the product page is that they're trying to offer summit-fi at less than summit-fi pricing. I'd be blowing like 3 months of salary just for the FL, FR, BL and BR...- JEHL

I'm sure multi driver headphones do exist and have for at least a decade. But all of them so far give me the impression of having a crude implementation so far compared to their IEM counterparts. Edit: Like that one JVC with a 55mm for bass and a 30mm full-range... But beyond being a bass...- JEHL

I have to wonder at this point how many IEMs have overly fancy/expensive components... And then someone just made an oopsie on the crossover.- JEHL

Nuraphone? I think that got absorbed by Denon and then they now make the PerL But then again I've always wanted to make a dual driver headphone with an 80mm driver for bass and a 20mm for the rest. Wonder how unconventional that'd be in our current age.- JEHL

No, I mean like the KE4, where the dual DD is a subwoofer, a single BA is a full-range and a single BA is a supertweeter.- JEHL

So I may or may not have mentioned the idea of an IEM with a single full-range driver, but it's assisted by a dual DD for what's otherwise too low for the full-range and either another BA or a microplanar for what's too high for the full-range. It's apparently already here. It's the Kiwi Ears...- JEHL
