Which Of The Creek Amp Versions Should I Buy ?
I recently purchased an OBH-11se to pair with my Beyer DT-770's. You'll have to pry my dead head out of them to get them off!- jeffn

Need Amp For DT-770ST; Have $500 - Suggestions?
Every headphone jack that I've ever plugged my Beyer DT-770ST's into sounds like the music is in a well... A very DEEP well. I gotta get an AMP and I just know someone here must have an opinion! Oh, yeah, Barbara said that I could only spend $500. Thanks, Jeff- jeffn

surround sound as a novelty
It depends on the source as to whether I use stereo or surround. I think surround is here to stay for movies but I switch to stereo for my CD's and most TV broadcasts. As far as buying cheap speakers for the surrounds...you will not like it. Imagine a jet sounding like a tin can as it...- jeffn

do I need a headphone amp
I agree with several of the other posts here; it depends: 1) On your headphones. 2) On your source device ( quality or cheap )- jeffn
