it does help some with the comfort. I have a thick cotton hat that I just lay on top of my head when it's bothering me (which is rare).- jdc0589

**Potential Meet for Atlanta Area**
I would probably drive over from Birmingham if we could put together a decent lineup. Haven't been to a meetup before and I pretty much just lurk here, but I would love to try out some different gear. I would be down for bringing my LCD-2 if no one local was going to bring some.- jdc0589

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
New LCD-2 owner here; the package showed up from HeadRoom yesterday evening. I've been on Westone 4Rs 100% of the time for a few months now and added the LCD-2 to start working on a solid setup at home for serious listening. Overall I am really pleased with them. I don't pretend to have a...- jdc0589

Stepping in to the full-size headphone world (from IEMs). Narrowed it down some, but need suggestions + input
So I've been using IEMs for a few years now. Klipsch S4s for a few years, and then upgraded to Westone 4Rs a few months ago (which I am pretty happy with). Now I am looking to put together a really solid at-home setup for more serious listening. Originally I was planning on staying in the...- jdc0589

Reply to review by 'jdc0589' on item 'Westone 4R with Removable Cables'
I realize this is an old review, but on the topic of sound isolation I would check your fit with some other tips. Generally I start with the largest and work my way down. With the 4Rs + the large (orange) foam star tips, I if I hold my hand about a foot and a half in front of my face and snap...- jdc0589

Upgrading IEMs from Klipsch S4, less than or around $300ish, need some recommendations based on my music preferences
Ended up grabbing some Westone 4Rs. Not a ton of listening time with them yet, but so far I am pretty pleased. They sound really good with my high quality sources from well mastered albums; but they definitely bring out the thin/flat sound of lower quality/more poorly mastered tracks; no...- jdc0589

Thanks! The Westone 4R is looking pretty good. I had been looking at a few of Sure's offerings, but $500 is a bit more than I want to spend.- jdc0589

I have had a set of Klipsch Image S4's for a few years now, and have been relatively pleased with them for the $65 I paid. That being said, I think I am starting to notice that they just don't handle a large dynamic range very well, and I listen to a lot of stuff that has a TON of very different...- jdc0589
