The sound on the Spotify app on PS5 definitely seems to give a lower sound output than when playing a game or watching the likes of YouTube.

You can only adjust the mix on PS5 if you're in a party. It's not possible to adjust it unless you're in PS5 party for unfortunately

This isn't the place for console wars and you may well be just trolling...but you don't seem to understand what the word proprietary means. Microsoft requires a headset to have a "proprietary" chip installed in it or it won't work on their console. Sony don't seem to require this. This is why...

If you email Bob he'll likely change the cable for you. I emailed him yesterday and asked him if he'd swap the cable for me as I'd selected the wrong one with my Z II, and he replied within a few minutes to say no problem.
