Tip update: received my order of Comply Comfort Plus (TSX-200) today. The E8 has never sounded better, and I have been really impressed by the amount of bass I now hear. If you're still looking for the perfect tip for your E8, the Comply Comfort Plus might be worth a try. Of course, YMMV.

Exact same experience with the Mandarins and Spinfits. Never able to get a good seal with medium and small-size Mandarins causing a complete lack of bass. Medium size Spinfits create a good seal and greatly enhanced SQ. Of course, YMMV.

I've owned 4 AK products, and never had one that approached the battery life of the WM1Z/1A.

For the "Shards of Heart" track, the problem is the source, not the E8. I found the same "artifacts" when listening via the E8s, and then switched to my Empire Ears Apollo connected via Plussound BT and heard the same thing. Either it's part of the recording or something in the transmission...

To be fair, what I mean by no connection problems is no 'serious' connection problems. Periodically mine sounds like it might drop the connection, but I'm talking maybe a half-second or a second at most. I listen mostly via Spotify, and it's as likely a dropped connection due to Wifi could be...

No sound changes were announced in the update so I'd be surprised if B&O did screw with the sound. imho these are the cleanest sounding BT inears on the market, it'd be a shame if they messed with it's sound signature. After more review, I think this is right. What I initially thought was due...

Sorry to hear that. In fairness I've only been listening with 5.4.0 a couple of hours, but to me it sounds great. If anything SQ might be a tad better, with improved soundstage, and connection was never an issue with my set. I hope it gets better for you.

I agree that getting a proper seal is key. Most of my listening is done via Empire Ears Zeuz CIEM. The fit is perfect. I don't typically buy universals, but thought the E8 a good option for travel. I tried getting more depth in the ear canal by not pushing the Spinfits all the way down the...
