Is the nozzle on the MR the same nozzle they used across all their 2020 models?? I’m trying to figure out if the custom tips I have for my classic andromedas will fit the MR. (My guess is it won’t but wanted to double check)

Gotcha, thanks! Yeah I know flat cables tangle less easily, but for me the fact you have to wrap them that way gives me the ick. I think the "over-under" technique has been too far ingrained in me after all the time I've spent working with audio engineers! 🤣

I thought this was pretty common, you just need to prevent it from building up and getting into the internals. It’s usually not damaging to the product but is less than ideal. Or is it more severe than this?

I also love my 2019s! I use them constantly for both fun and professional use. They’re the perfect production iem; they sound like if you could put the barefoot footprints in your ears (must be the pdx connection 😊 🌹)

IIRC: all Andromeda's up until 2020 are the same sonically. All the differences between pre 2020 variants are external. There are 3 actually different tunings. Classic, 2020, and Emerald Sea (excluding special editions).

If you like solo cello, but want something different; I HIGHLY reccomend Abel Selaocoe.

That's cool too! IEMs are super personal, we all hear different, and I saw you used different tips than me (I usually use type-e tips) so that could also be a small part of it too. Seems like you're enjoying them, and that's all that really matters anyway. :)

I totally agree! For me, it's honestly just that most of the time I don't find the sonic difference enough to justify the price of the component. I'm also fortunate to have a really high quality desktop audio interface that has a great headphone circuit that I use sometimes as well.
