    Pioneer SE-A1000 (Sennheiser HD 650 for $45?)

Would the T50rp be a good compliment to the SE-A1000? I own the SE-A1000, Philips SHP9500, and both the Samson SR850 and SR950 and I was wondering if the T50rp would be a good headphone to get.

Pioneer SE-A1000 vs Takstar 2050 vs Superlux 668B/681/EVO/SR850?

I know this is an old thread but I just got my Pioneer SE-A1000 and I own the SR850 (newer one with the velour pads instead of the crappy pleather) and both are amazing! I'm listening to The Road Of Trials from the Journey game soundtrack and these Pioneers are doing things my SR850 could only...

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could

Ah ok, that makes a lot of sense lol. Thanks a lot! depending on sales and whatnot I'll make my decision on my next purchase based on that and these tips.   Yes, I've heard that too and it seems to be the case when I had listened to them. They seemed more balanced and had better imaging...

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could

I think you're right, open backs would absolutely work for me. I've demoed the SHP9500 for bit and I liked what I heard, but I'm not sure how they compare to other popular open back headphones like the ones you mentioned or maybe things like the Sennheiser HD 558 and 598. How do the AD500x...

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could

Hmmmm....This is a bit difficult as I found that I did not like the M50x very much and much preferred my Sonys to those. I have a lot of good budget headphones for more of a fun sound, like the Panasonic RP HTF600s, Sol Republic Master Tracks (not budget but decently controlled low end, nice for...

Samson SR-850 - What in the BLOODY HELL?

I am not sure if this is in the correct thread but I had a question regarding the Samson SR950, the closed back variant of the SR850. The SR950 come with fairly comfortable velour earpads but I can feel that they aren't sealing as well as they should to produce the low end I know they have, as...

Thanks! Looks like I'm getting exactly what I wanted lol! I know that the Brainwavz HM5 earpads work on these Pioneers, based on Zeos' review, and I was wondering as your brother has the Superlux HD668b, would pads that size fit the Pioneers? I don't have a lot of money to spend so I was...

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could

I stumbled across this thread because I'm interested in the M40x even though I do not have the money for them right now. I do own the 7506 and love what they do, but I do recognize the shrilly treble and how they cannot be used on a smartphone without an amp, otherwise things just sound wrong...

I recently ordered these based off of Zeos' review as well. I already own the Sony MDR-7506 and the Samson SR850 and was looking for a more relaxing pair of headphones that were still decently resolving so as I don't feel like I'm missing anything. Will these Pioneers do the trick? Great review...

    Pioneer SE-A1000 (Sennheiser HD 650 for $45?)

I just ordered a par of these Pioneers and I'm very excited to try them out!! I own the Sony MDR-7506 with Beyerdynamic earpads and the Samson SR850 and was looking for a more relaxing pair of headphones with decent resolution. Will these do the trick?
