Kinda reminded me that I don't think I have seen a single review of A16 where the reviewer actually had done the bare minimum needed to talk about what the A16 is about -> done a PRIR. You are not reviewing A16 unless that is your starting point. Any of that kind of reviews around? Anyone seen one?

At the moment I don't have a TV/Screen behind the A16 (it's only used for audio), so there's no HDCP approved path for audio. My guess here is, that HDCP does not impact games at all, so it must be your multichannel speaker setups with windows that did the trick.

I don't seem to have issues with getting 5.1 or 7.1 from games to A16 via HDMI. I've not tried to get Atmos since I've not yet seen a game supporting it. The speaker setup (in windows) needs to be 5.1 or 7.1 to get multichannel. If speaker setup is "stereo", then I only get that.

My A16 is connected to a displayport via DP/HDMI adapter (NVidia card) and Atmos bitstream works just fine. Windows PC.

There's no signal processing applied when using the 16 line outs. A 16 would not be a very good prepro, as there's no processing available to adjust levels or delays per channel. There also are no bass management for subs. But if you use something like Genelec SAM monitors, you would be fine...
