IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

So, after a few days with my reshelled Triple.Fi 10s, I can definitely say that I love them.  Right off the bat, the fit is perfect. After 15 minutes or so, it almost feels like I'm not wearing anything in my ears. My ears definitely needed a few hours to get accustomed to wearing customs...

SE530s have gone very quiet in one ear - can they be fixed prior to reshelling?

I had this happen with my SE210s, and it was just a matter of earwax clogging one of the tubes. 5 minutes with a wire loop and a needle and it was all cleared away and working perfectly again. Have you checked for that, first?

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

I was previously listening to mostly a pair of Ety HF5s which are so perfectly neutral and clear it's ridiculous, so I think it might have just been a matter of getting used to the new sound signature, too. Definitely give them more time, they're such a wonderful pair of headphones. In the end...

    Help a rookie - Triple-fi 10 vs Fischer Audio DBA 02 vs Head-Direct RE0 vs something?

There are some great phones in the sub-$200 range, but the fact that the TF10s are hovering in that range is like bringing in a ringer. They're just head and shoulders above most anything else in the price range. Certainly better than the SE425s at over $100 less expensive.    The way I see...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

My setup is the same as yours except my TF10s are now reshelled (but the sound hasn't really changed significantly), and most of my music is 320kbps MP3. I feel like the mids evened out a lot after the first few weeks, but that may just have been me getting used to their sound. I know I DID feel...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

For what it's worth, I just had mine reshelled (by Fisher/InEarZ) and I'm in love with them.  Of course, I LOVED the sound signature, and I got them for about a hundred bucks, so even with the fee to reshell them, they were still cheaper than a pair of SE535s. The fit for me before was godawful...

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

Holy crap, my reshelled TF10s came today. First impression (just a few minutes of music and a half hour of a podcast) is that they sound fantastic. They fit soooo much better than the stock TF10s now. The right eat felt slightly tight at first, so I was worried, but as I wear it, it's feeling...

Quote: Hey, I got mine done in North NJ. The doctor was great, and they were only $30. It's a group of offices called Audiology & Hearing Aid Solutions. They have offices in Wayne, Ridgewood, Paramus, and Clifton. I had mine done in Paramus by Dr. Weiner. She was great and it only took 10...

NuForce Icon uDAC2-HP or FiiO E7

For what it's worth, you can get the Nuforce uDAC-2 (which is supposed to be based around a newer amp (and it includes additional outputs) than the uDAC-2hp) from crutchfield.com for $109 after a $20 off coupon code ("3A825") at the moment. That's what I went with when I was in a similar...

Best Headphone Amp/DAC combos for ~$200

Quote: I thought about that too, but it seemed like a bit of a clunky setup for what I'd mainly be using it for (usb dac / headphone amp for laptop). Hopefully the Nuforce turns out to be what I'm hoping for.

Best Headphone Amp/DAC combos for ~$200

Alright guys, I think I'm set on the Nuforce uDAC-2. After scouring the net, I can't find anything less that dozens and dozens of glowing reviews. Plus, I found it on Crutchfield.com with free 2-day shipping and a $20 coupon code ("3A825" if anyone's interested. It's $20 off $100 or more), so...

Best Headphone Amp/DAC combos for ~$200

Hmm, both of those look good. Looks like I can get what I need for under $130, so with that extra cash, what does everyone think of the Nuforce Icon Mobile? Since I've got a lot of room left in the budget, and I do _sometimes_ use the iPod/iPhone, maybe I should spring for a portable amp too...

Best Headphone Amp/DAC combos for ~$200

Oh, and I just noticed the μDAC-2-HP which ditches the RCA/coax. It looks like it's the exact same DAC and amp otherwise, and it's only $99. Should I be wary of it for any reason, or is it really the same quality if I don't need to output to speakers?

That looks pretty interesting. I hadn't noticed that model from Nuforce before. I love that it's USB-powered. How's the sound? Is it a real, noticeable step above a laptop soundcard, unamped? The price is certainly enticing.

Best Headphone Amp/DAC combos for ~$200

Now that I'm finally pretty happy with my headphones, and I've finally upped all my source MP3s to 256kbps or better, so now I'm looking for advice on a nice little amp to sit next to my MacBook Pro. I'd like something in the $100 - $200 range. I've looked at the Hifiman EF2A and the Maverick...
