Agreed. The novelty of the pelican case wore off fast once it came to having to store it :smile: But I also don't have little kids or rambunctious dogs etc to worry about.

Forgot to post when my AutC arrived. Been too busy listening :smile: My card didn't indicate which finish this is, but it's low-shine, more of a satin finish. Thinking a hand-wiped varnish? And add me to the list of those who like/prefer the more minimal packaging.

I'm a little surprised the brand doesn't get more love. For people like me with limited desk space, the Frerot ticks a lot of boxes for great sound, small footprint, middleish-fi price (though, that's a relative concept :upside_down: ).

Nope, it was one of the B-stocks, not select. it (along with a few others) disappeared from the drop-down when I looked today.

It had been showing up in the drop-down too--let me add it to cart and everything. Checked just now and it's gone.

I think the latter. I bought one of the B-stocks and confirmed with ZMF that the order went through, but it still shows up on the site.

I'm guessing that there's a chance some of these sets are actually sold...since the one I bought (338) still shows up on the drop-down but I have an email from ZMF confirming that the sale went through ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great write-up. I have an Eikon OG and ended up keeping it over the AC. There's just something special about its sound. Selfishly, I'm glad it's not an Aut Closed (🤭) as I'm interested in what something more ZMF neutral and bright will sound like in comparison.

If ZMF started allowing cancellations, regardless of what kind of caveat you try to put on it (orders placed within X timeframe, buying X number of sets, etc) it'll create more of a headache as sets are "sold" and then have to be made available again.

I did love how the Atrium sounded. Always been curious to hear what the AutC and ZMF 'bright' will sound like though. I'm also hoping the AutC being slightly less open than the Atriums will help because my desk isn't the quietest listening environment.

I've been waffling between reacquiring an Atrium Open since I've been having some seller's remorse (open backs aren't ideal for my listening setup, but ofc now that I've sold them, my tinnitus is starting to get worse :upside_down:), or going for Auteurs. ZMF November has me looking at the Auts.

My Shedua CC with a magnesium chassis weighed in at 549g.
