Actually, I saw a Nexus player at Audiogon some weeks ago, think they asked $500. Though it's gone now... But there are plenty of ohter good players out there, keep looking and you will find something.- jadde

Sennheiser HD525
Look! Sennheiser HD525 without the cord! =) Got them cheap S/H, but I’ll better fix that cord Think they retailed for $100 some years ago. They are very comfortable and the padas cover the whole ear.
