Yes, it's quite easy to take them off but you must be aware that headphones have clipping mechanism. There are rings inside of this ear cups. You can put new ear pads but they will go over the flange.

I would take those coolermasters. I bought brainwavz oval pads but I prefer stock ones. They are softer. To be honest I still thinking to buy gm200 and cannibalize them with mic, pads and speakers which I want to put inside my pro82s

IMO via bt it sounds better. I'm using this combination. Via usb when I'm work and bt when I go out. I can even use it via usb with my ps4. Microfone is unavailable but I don't care. I don't play online. BTR3K plays much louder with balanced cable.
