I really like this headphone and the stock pads are superb in comfort. When I switched the pads I had been using for almost 3 years to the new ones, everything sounded clearer, bass more precise and less muffled. If only isolation was better...

I never found the thx887 dry at all. It actually comes off as smooth, with great depth. It has great staging, air, separation and depth. Certainly, way more depth than Jotunheim 2. Except with a planar like the Aeon 2 Closed, I even prefer it to the Cayin IHA-6, a magnificent amp.

It is completely silent. Schiit amps in my experience catch all the noise from the power grid. I've had Vali 2+, Lyr 3, Jot 2. All of them caught all the interference. The THX 887 is dead silent even when cranked up to the max.

Hi. I use them almost every day at the office and when I travel by plan, which happens at least once a month. They're ok for travelling (the vibrations when you rest your head on the seat take a huge toll on the NC) but I really like the sound. Just a reminder: the eq settings are switched off...
