Thoughts on wireless earbuds
What's the battery life on those things? Not much room to put a Li-ion cell in an IEM housing...- Intjmastermind

Yeah I'm also a newbie from Los Angeles, and would be up for a Headfi meet as well! -
Expensive vs Normal RCA cables?
You should get a Monoprice.com premium audio cable. Very nice cables for something like $3 a yard, or about 200 "Euros" per "meter" in your silly moon language (I kid! ) -
Schitt Asgard + Sennheiser HD650?
So, with the uDac-2 plugged to the Asgard via RCA line-out, adjusting the volume knob on the uDac-2 alters the amplitude of the line-out signal. I'm assuming that the volume knob adjusts a passive potentiometer, likely before the op-amp stage since it affects both headphone and line-out. ...- Intjmastermind

Suggestions for headphones for my pianist girlfriend?
Maybe because she doesn't want the headphones to mess up her hair? Women are picky like that. :) I like to wear my Westone 3 IEMs when practicing piano. IEMs are nice because you barely notice they're on. Also, try the Comply foam tips. Very comfortable fit.- Intjmastermind

Schitt Asgard + Sennheiser HD650?
I'm currently running my Sennherise HD650 from a Nuforce uDAC-2. The uDAC-2 is rated to 300 Ohms, and the HD650's sound really good from them. :) Would adding a discreet amp to this setup make a significant improvement? I've never tried big amps, so I don't know what I'm missing, or even...- Intjmastermind

Objective cable testing
What if you use a splitter to connect two sets of cables to your source. Then: 1) Blindfold yourself 2) Ask your friend to connect the left earcup to the left cable of cable A, adn the right earcup to the right cable of cable B 3) Listen 4a) Switch cable A to the right... -
Objective cable testing
The purpose of a headphone cable is to transmit a signal from one location to another. High-end replacement cables claim to be able to transmit that signal "better". Has anyone done objective testing on these cable claims? Take two cables, connect them via a splitter to a source. Connect...- Intjmastermind

Sennheiser HD-280 Replacement Headband Pad
I need to replace the headband pad on my HD-280's. The manual shows that they're meant to be replaceable. However, I haven't found a place that stocks them. Any suggestions?- Intjmastermind

Help a teenager avoid buying Dr. Dre Beats
If you value your family, you'd cave in and get her the Beats. Despite what everyone says, they're not bad headphones. They don't have the performance / $$$ value of audiophile headphones, but they're decent. You'd be making her happy, which is the whole point of this isn't it? Just be...- Intjmastermind
