I think you should highlight this more in the actual app, as I think there are many users that would imagine both that EQ works on all inputs and also filters. I know it's somewhere in the documentation ( probably) but who reads that unless you really need to? :)

My point was that ANC on affects sound more than I feel is warranted for ANC reasons. Now, if the sound resulting of that is good or bad is up to everyone to decide themselves, but I feel that if you like it, you shouldn't really be forced to enable ANC to get it unless you really want ANC. Or...

Ye, agreed, currently it's like ANC is needed if you want the best bass (or at least most of it), even though you do not want nor need ANC. Mostly working from home these days, I rarely need ANC like pre pandemic times.
