Monster has discontinued the turbine range so the coppers aren't an option. I also have an e12 and for IEMs it adds nothing to the sound. Part of the point of IEMs is powering them direct from a portable device. My westone 3s and ie8s are both "premium" IEMs and neither sound better when amped...

Every single pair of the cx300s I've had has broken after a few months. Time to upgrade, man.

Open box is always the better option. You'll most likely just chuck the box out, and in a week the cans will look the same as any other used pair anyway. A lot of people on here will recommend used anyway, because you skip the burn in period.

Just played a few rounds with my Senn IE8s and it was good. Could hear footsteps around corners thanks to the wider soundstage on these. Don't know your price range but the IE8s are a solid contender for gaming and music alike.
