Why are flagship headphones so expensive now?
Though the most precious substance to a human is of course water (H2O) as we'd be dead within approx 7 days without consuming any. Though my 8 year old daughter argues that's it's Air (O2). Though carbon has to be up with the most precious also. Only a rather silly economic system would put...- ib1dance

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Nice rounded sound. Spatial (relating to, occupying, or having the character of space) information (reverb etc) in the music is reproduced very effectively on these headphones. There is a clear distinction between the spatial character in the music that the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 (open) produce...- ib1dance

DAP for beyerdynamic DT1990
Ok. I wasn't specifically refuting your claim as you didn't provide anything to backup your claim, you maybe correct, you maybe wrong, you maybe whatever. But in general ,non-scientifically trained people can, and do, believe whatever they want about anything and everything they want. Which is...- ib1dance

DAP for beyerdynamic DT1990
The D.A.P doesn’t have to be capable of "High resolution" as their is no evidence that high resolution audio is perceptionally a "higher quality" experience for humans. Maybe it's placebo Audio that sells products. https://youarenotsosmart.com/ Just a D.A.P that has low distortion and...- ib1dance

FiiO X1ii - Worthy Upgrade?
"FiiO X1ii - Worthy Upgrade?" I've recently just "upgraded". I wanted something a little smaller. The other main differences of the x1 ii ,like the touch screen scroll wheel don't help much as far as managing/playing/finding music is concerned. Upgrade if you want a smaller player...- ib1dance

Hello, Which headphones would you consider to be most like the following: 1. Capable of producing a Frequency response of 14 - 26000 Hz (value of hd518 for comparison). 2. Constructed to last with a slim and light form factor (maybe blue-tooth). 3. Open to the sounds of the...- ib1dance

Grado e Series
Thanks for the post, the info on how the RS1e maybe not so popular is interesting though purely speculative. Grado e Series
Hello, I own a pair of Grado SR80. Thinking about the upgrade to the SR125e E series. I've browsed this thread and there is the all too common "They sound better take my word for it" response (Donald trump style rhetoric). Though I haven't see any actual recorded measurements. Quote...- ib1dance

Ultra-portable open headphones
Budgets not currently a issue with ultra portables as all I have seen to date a comparably inexpensive. Though I'd pay handsomely for a improved version of the sennheiser px100's II. Better components, smoother more tactile ear padding, wireless ( Micro technology allows the player to be...- ib1dance
