Getting the itch to upgrade. Looking for advice on where to go from K612, HE-X4...
K612 Pro is a decent headphone. Got one recently and I like it. I don't know about HE-X4. DT900 Pro X, 6XX are both very decent headphones. 6XX sounds great and is a classic for a reason. I'd add HD560S to that list as well. And however great they might be, I am not sure if they will truly be...- IAtaman

Generic Power Chord vs expensive?
Depends on who you ask. In the physical world, there is no difference between a decent generic power cable and an expensive one that affects the sound quality of a decent audio electronic equipment. In the audiophile world, many people believe they can hear a difference. If you ask them... -
SMSL AO300 DAC & Power Amplifier Thread
Might be just single ended. In fact, like you, I think the lack of mentioned of a balanced output indicates it is not balanced. A few SMSL products have balanced jacks that provide the same power as the SE, provided for convenience I think this might be one of those. Interesting product still...- IAtaman

Is this an actual review or a marketing act by mcru? Isn't there a law that says you need to inform people if it is an ad, and not pretend it is an actual view? -

ZMF Bokeh vs Audeze LCD-XC
Both of them are very efficient and would work with all decent DAPs. To reach 110db SPL, LCD-XC requires about 10mW and ZMF around 5mW. You may be worried maybe thinking that you might need higher voltage for ZMF because of its higher impedance, but 0.65V gets you to 110 dB so even apple dongle...- IAtaman

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Did you connect it to the TV and, unaware of the changes you made, folks at home suddenly noticed the increase in SQ and rejoiced? I am asking because, If I recall correctly, that was what has happened with Dave. Or was it Hugo. Maybe it was Mojo actually. Anyway, does not matter. My point is...- IAtaman

Chord Mojo 2 or others portable DAC/Amp for HD600
Mojo2's real key feature is the amount of power it can deliver. Its output power specs is 90mW at 300ohms. For reference 10mW gets HD600 to 110dB SPL. With that perspective in mind, I'd say it would be an overkill to get a Mojo2 for HD600. I would recommend Qudelix 5K if you want EQ / DSP...- IAtaman

IEMS with Similar Sound to WH-1000XM3
XM3 is all bass and no treble. I would check KZ - I am sure they would have a similar bass monster. Or alternative you can get a decently tuned IEM and allow your brain to readjust to normal sound again?- IAtaman

Is there a brand that makes affordable high quality xlr cables?
You can most certainly get away with buying a cheap one on Amazon. If you live in North America, I'd recommend https://hartaudiocables.com as well. They have very nice cables for fair prices (4-Pin XLR balanced cable is $58). I'd still recommend them if you live somewhere else but shipping costs...- IAtaman

Disappointed with Truthear Hexa - looking for alternatives under £200 (~$250)
Right. Well I still think there might be a seal issue and if you can find a way to solve that, e.g using suitable tips from other IEMs you own that you know seal well, or give SpinFit tips a try, I think your experience with Hexa might improve significantly.- IAtaman

Sivga Luan - mini review- 7-4-2023
I am afraid we will have to agree to disagree. To me, the text you posted is just a bunch of random YT "reviewer" mambo-jumbo stitched together, offering no insight into the product nor a lot of actual meaning for that matter. and therefore is not a review. But you do you.- IAtaman
