    Shure AONIC 50 -

Of course. My bad on that, I got a little sidetracked. I think the A50s might be better, folks. I've been hotswapping them back and forth, and I definitely find myself favoring the Shures. I'm listening to house with some thumping bass + female vocals. The M3 hits a little harder but the vocals...

How do I get this update? I'm on the latest firmware + app version AFAIK. Enable beta version in app store for Sennheiser app? EDIT: Unless it's the very basic three sliders on the other tab that you're referring to.

Am I just dumb or is the Sennheiser EQ really strange? Like I move this little dot around and it does stuff, but I can't seem to get it do what I want. You da man, thank you!

M3 came in today. It's definitely gonna take a few days to decide on a pair. I'll post a more detailed/in depth writeup later, but suffice it to say that these are both phenomenal headphones and I can't really see anyone being unhappy with either of them. Some initial notes/thoughts: Music...

The A50 came in first and I couldn't bloody well wait a day! haha For anyone seeking to avoid the rather substantial change in sound when activating ANC on Max....turn on ANC. Set to Normal in app. Turn off ANC. Turn back on. Then set to Max. Basically if it starts off in normal then you...

Honestly, I didn't think about that, but you're probably right about the ANC haha. Honestly though, best way to test it would be to get on an airplane, because volume doesn't usually drown out that sound. I've gotta stop posting on here or I'm gonna end up bringing both headsets on the plane to...

As a pretty avid techno/house fan and a bit of Club Kid, I can 100% confirm that anyone telling you the A50s are lacking in bass is pretty high on something. The bass on these things is great. Angelom's previous descriptions of it are spot on. Passive noise isolation is pretty great. I don't...

I forced it in developer options. I don't know of any way to measure it...if that's a thing let me know haha. I definitely notice some changes in the sound/volume when I change the sample rate/bit rate/etc so I'm pretty sure it's doing stuff. 990kbps actually seems to work fine.

First Impressions. Listening with LDAC 96khz / 32 bits / 660kbps on a Pixel 4 XL. Does have a bit of a weird smell. It's the case, not the headphones. It's not overpowering and is dissipating quickly. Case is definitely not going to fit in your pocket. Ear pads definitely aren't...

It sounds like The Correct Answer is to buy both the M3 and A50, eh? :dt880smile: My A50s get here Saturday. I'll put em through the paces and post my thoughts. I'm not as educated/experienced as most of the people on this thread, but I'll be able to give my professional amateur opinion on the...

Well, I should have read the last few pages before posting, because I just got to the part where you went back to the M3 haha. You tricked me! Now that you're back on the M3, any insight as to sound comparison/likes/dislikes/etc with the A50? From strictly a music listening (with ANC...

That's definitely what I'm going to tell my fiancée when she asks "When did you buy ANOTHER pair of headphones?"

I've read through this whole thread and I want to say that I really enjoyed and benefited from all your posts. Other people's posts too. But yours the most. You da man. I was going to buy the M3 but I think you guys have talked me into giving Shure a go. I'm a big fan of Sennheiser's sound...

    Greetings/Thanks

I'm not sure if introductory topics are the norm here, but I would feel odd beginning my arrival with a post in some random topic. That said, I decided to join after I discovered and read through the forums for some reviews and opinions and found it very informative. So, thanks for your...
