Fair enough - IEM quality is all a lot more subjective than I think a lot of people want to admit. For what it's worth, I tried out some foam comply tips that came with another IEM, and to me the sound improved immensely on the ZS6. Not sure why I didn't think of trying that obvious fix a lot...

Well, got my replacement gold undamped filters pretty promptly... pleasant surprise. Glad I got them; I had fooled myself into thinking there wasn't much of a difference, but upon switching back, the leap in quality was instantly noticeable.

A few months since I got my I3's and I still love them. Gold undamped was my clear favorite - however one of the filters doesn't work at full capacity anymore, not sure why. Trinity says they will give me a replacement set of filters, we'll see, I sure hope so, because I really liked the sound...

Use the gold filters. If you are into detail retrieval, they are superior to the gunmetal

The Icarus is lighter to a not-insignificant extent. It definitely has a positive effect on the ability to achieve a good seal.
