I agree, it's definitely not as bassy as I would have thought given the way people talk about it. I honestly think reviewers are too stuck on what they see in the frequency graphs and review that, not the actual sound. I would say the Ups have the right amount of bass for a general purpose IEM...

does anyone know if the qudelix 5k puts out enough power for the Up? This sounds right up my alley but I do most of my IEM listening with the qudelix, not sure if I should be concerned about driveability.

I've probably put in at least 400 hours with them and I've had no issues. I do live in a pretty cool and dry climate, and I qtip every day, and I use Spinfit CP100s, which are much narrower bore than the stock tips. Love mine enough so I've been considering buying another pair to have a spare.

I had problems with a few different tips where I got a good seal or good comfort but not both, but eventually I settled on Spinfit CP100s for both great seal and comfort. Found out after the fact that those were the tips that HBB was using when he was working on the tuning, for what it's worth.
