[Review] Sennheiser IE800: Impressions, Frustration and a bunch of What-Ifs
Definitely, im loving them now! i want to spend £300 upgrading my portable rig. Any advice on what to go for? I can either get rid of my ipod classic for an x5 to pair with the e12, or get rid of my e12 and get a quality amp Im leaning towards the x5, which option will give me most bang...- hobbitey

[Review] Sennheiser IE800: Impressions, Frustration and a bunch of What-Ifs
Just got them, love the overall sound but a little bit fatuiging. I am in the minority who feel that the ie800 treble is a bit articifial and shrill, however this could be due to burn in, or the fact ive come from a mid heavy earphone in the um3x. I do love the detail though- hobbitey

[Review] Sennheiser IE800: Impressions, Frustration and a bunch of What-Ifs
Duncan ive heard that you favour the x5 e12 combo with the senns? I already own the e12 and my ie800s arrive tomorrow, my stock player is the 1st ipod video/classic. Now seriously considering the x5, in what way does it complement the sound?- hobbitey

best amp for ie800, budget £200
One more question, how does using the fiio x5 with the e12 improve sound over the classic? As far as I was aware the music files bypassed the ipod classic soundchip and ran exclusively mthrough the e12 anyway, does that not mean the sound would be exactly the same? Also, as the x5 has an amp...- hobbitey

Hi headfi, in desperate need of advice. After owning senn ie8s, um 30 pros and se535s, have finally bit the bullet and purchased some ie800s (arriving tuesday). I am an audio enthusiast and have decent knowledge of iems and the like, however I am not experienced at all in regards to amping. If...- hobbitey

beats mixr vs audio technica m-50s?????
Looking back at my point it does seem a bit emotionally driven... To explain, I personally prefer a cleaner headphone with a revealing and intimate sound signature. However seeing at what the genres that will be listened to; the Mixrs are an OK shout. I just feel that comparing the two...- hobbitey

beats mixr vs audio technica m-50s?????
ive gotta say i completely regret buying the Mixrs on a whim last year - they were not worth half the £200 i paid for them! the sound is ultra coloured to the point of silliness, tried to eq the bass but the qualitty isnt there- hobbitey
