If you haven't read through this thread yet I would say read through it there is some info on tubes here I would also go to the bottlehead forum there is a thread on tube rolling in the crack area and read through it you'll get an idea on what tubes people like. I use ebay alot but I try to buy...

Took mine about 8 weeks but it was worth the wait!

I too just built a crack amp and it was a joy to build. Directions were easy to fallow. when you order the amp it does take a while to get mine took about 10 weeks.This gives you time to get tools and maybe practice soldering a little. Join the bottlehead forum and read up on the amp this helped...

those are solen 100uF  400v caps.  

Yes the hrt a great match with the crack best sounding setup I've had yet.

I didn't use the wood that came with the kit it's oak I had. I mixed dark walnut and mahogany stain to get the color and than put 6 coats of deft (lacquer) on it

Got mine soldered up today and alls I have to say is WOW it sounds good!! and I have the speedball upgrade to do yet .

yes I use that little fan alot so when I was making the stand I made the frame for the fan and it fit nicely behind the case.  

I ordered a Bottlehead Crack amp kit witch I'll be soldering up next weekend but I made a case for it out of oak and built a matching head stand for it  

use cheap home theater reciever and hook up to the sub woofer jack.

Just got my sr-34's in today hooked them up for a quick listen and wow they sound good! Compared them to my d5000's (which I love) and they were close the d5000's got the bass but the sr-34's got the clear realistic sound. My son even liked the sr-34's over the d5000's . I really just got these...

The Russian Groove Tubes! Especially considering that their 10 bucks for a matched set!

Switching the plastic on the pads wasn't a problem 5 min done and listening to the phones!
