Well, in China there are some brands like Goldenwave, DA&T (actually it is a Taiwan brand) and Orava that are producing great amps and DACs, but they don't sell their products outside China. The Orava Combo and the DA&T U2 Combo are two of the most popular entry-level choice for DT880 and HD600...

But in Asia, the 250 ohm version is more expensive than the other ones. That makes no sense to buy it...

[/I]The HD600s are great, but a little bit expensive. I would choose the DT990 because it's cheaper. I would not describe the HD600 as a balance headphone. The most impressive thing about the HD600 is that I can feel the stage, which is difficult to find on the DT990.

I would prefer k7xx. HD650 sounds way too bassy for me.

I LOVE my DT880 250ohm. But I'm wondering why people in US are more likely to suggest the 600ohm version. In Asia the 250ohms are much more popular.

The HD650 sounds really comfortable. Although it is a little bit bassy, I still find out that the sound is natural.

I was told that this version is only sold in China is that right?

Impressive. However I'm not going to buy a portable headphone since I mainly listen to music in my room. I'm a fan of beyerdynamic, and maybe I'll buy one when I find out that I really need a close headphone.

I LOVE my DT990 PRO! It has really firm bass. However, sometimes I feel uncomfortable with its sharp tremble. When listening to string music, I still prefer my DT880.
