Well, I've had my 560's for three weeks now and here's my first impression: I don't know if it's electronics burn-in or brain burn-in, but I'm loving these more every day. Never in my life have I ever been able to listen to any phones for more than 30 - 45 mins without suffering listening...- HiFlyMan

My HE-560 Travel Case arrived today and here are my first impressions: I've never seen the 500 case, but this one appears from the photos to be a bit deeper. Fit/finish is just ok, several dried glue spots on the interior surface. Cables must be disconnected to store. Logo is still upside...- HiFlyMan

PureMusic V2 software vs. USB thumb drive to Oppo BDP105?
No, actually I expected better sound from the $125 PureMusic software, but USB direct was noticeably better.- HiFlyMan

PureMusic V2 software vs. USB thumb drive to Oppo BDP105?
A question for my esteemed colleagues - Which of these two scenarios would you expect to yield better results and why? : A) FLAC/DSD files streamed from Macbook Pro via PureMusic 2 software via USB to Oppo BDP-105 to Schiit Lyr2 to HE560 cans. B) The same FLAC/DSD files loaded on to a...- HiFlyMan

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
I hope this isn't a stupid question (again, newbie here), but do they still need a 50 hr burn-in if they were previously used?- HiFlyMan

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
I got them from Rb2013. Looking back through this thread, they were going fairly cheap ($49) a while back, but the price has gone up, I assume because they're getting harder to find.- HiFlyMan

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
Looking for some positive reinforcement, please. Being new to tubes, I took my first plunge into the waters today and ordered a pair of '74 Voskhod Gray Shields for my Lyr2 / HE560 setup. Anyone have any firsthand experience, and if so, tell me I won't be disappointed? :-) Thanks.- HiFlyMan

Sony PHA-2 Review - Feb 2014
FYI - Last week I purchased the "Amazon Basics" 4 inch long Lightning to USB cable and it's a perfect fit for the PHA-2 / iPhone 5 setup. No compatibility issues and just exactly the right length, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B5RGAWY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1- HiFlyMan

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
Greetings everyone! I'm a noob to the tube world so please go easy on me. I've had my Lyr 2 and HE560's for about a week now and still in the burn-in process. I've read backwards through the past 40 - 50 pages of this thread and my head is spinning trying to grasp and understand tube...- HiFlyMan

FYI, I ordered the new 560 travel case within hours of it going on sale and here is an email I received from Head-Fi this morning. It looks like the new case is in high demand: Hi, Sorry to have kept you waiting for so long. We are so sorry for the inconvenience we brought to you. Your...- HiFlyMan

Hmmm, I guess I'll find out in 2 - 3 days about the new 560 case. I travel 17 - 20 days a month and if I have to unscrew the cables nearly every day, that will be a deal-killer and they'll go back. I'll post my review here as soon as they arrive.- HiFlyMan
