The V-Moda M100 is a headphone that will please the average consumer but not please audiophiles.   (Note:This is my review from someone who has had only a few other headphones.)   The V-Moda come with vivid highs and lows with tame but detailed bass.The Mid's could use some work but are not muffled or drowned out and can have this fixed with a simple equalizer. These headphones are not very painful to listen to. Example:when you hear very sharp tss and sis. These headphones come with replaceable shields that you can buy at V-Modas website for 45$...

With abut 60hrs burn the sl300 really open up while the bass become not as tight the mid's sound better and not as recessed
