What output version should i get with hifi-m8 LX for an LCD-3? (XL4, CMB,RSA)?

Reviews are making me lean towards the hi-fi m8. I'm using this with laptop and not apple products so I believe that means i should get the LX.   I'm confused as to what version of the LX (XL4, CMB, or RSA)? goes best with the LCD-3, being that I don't know what cable goes best with LCD-3...

Havent pulled the trigger yet on the LCD-3 only because im unsure which amplifier/dac to buy.    no longer concerned about the price tag (i think)   is the hugo a very strong performer with LCD-3?   Should I be looking at tube amps isntead? Are these safe to travel (in carryon) with? (come...

man i also like jimihendrix and **** and have played guitar with tube amps and if thats what they sound like i would really like the warm/bassy tube sound lol... but i think solidstate would be a lot safer to travel with...my intuition tells me at least.

ive now read a lot about the Hugo, and it seems like that is very solid, will streamline what i need, will be durable for travel, and will be relevant in the future. So i'm going to get the LCD-3 and the Hugo (unless anyone has arguments against this?) Is there anything else I need like...
