Which is more natural, ATH-A900X, XPT100, or NAD VISO HP50?

This is true. However, for most people who either don't have the space or budget headphones will be their choice of purchase. It's also much more convenient when you move. Looking for over ear closed back that's close to final audio heaven ii.

Which is more natural, ATH-A900X, XPT100, or NAD VISO HP50?

I understand what you mean but that headphone doesn't follow the harmon curve. I happen to like the sound as it sounds like straight speakers with great sound stage. It's possible the future is IEMs as ear shape doesn't play as much a role there. More likely people will experience the same with...

Which is more natural, ATH-A900X, XPT100, or NAD VISO HP50?

Are there any over ear closed back that sound like Final Audio Heaven IIs? I just got that pair and am in love with them. I understand from prior explanations that it's difficult to compare between the two because of ear shape but suggestions would help me move in a direction. Thank you!

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I suppose headphone manufacturers have two challenges if they'd like to sell to more people. 1) physically engineer how a headphone fits such that you'd get the same fit and seal. 2) once a generally accepted standard curve that fits the mode of an entire target...

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I do understand what each individual enjoys is subjective. I guess I'm wondering, if you have several headphones and they're all close to one another like these three, EQ'd them to match the Harman curve, would they all sound identical? We sort of are audio listening devices, no? Each with our...

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

Am I possibly missing something? It seems the ATH-M50X does a better job at shifting it's slopes on the graph at designated frequency points per the Harman curve? ATH-A900X seems to have the smoother lower frequencies (not as much movement as with M50X) but has wilder swings past the 4khz mark...

Which is more natural, ATH-A900X, XPT100, or NAD VISO HP50?

So it looks like the NAD is the closest to the Harmon curve (is it because it leaks sound like crazy?). Are there any closed headphones that follow the Harmon curve very well, is portable that doesn't leak, and costs under $200? Need to wear it on train commute where people sit right next to...

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I wasn't confused there. I thought over ear was open back and saw the PSB was over ear on Google. I was confused either way in the end regardless. Hahaha

I have a somewhat larger head. Looks like the plastic headbands crack easily on the PSB so that might be out

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I thought HP50 was closed back? At least based on Amazon. Why would an open back have more isolation? I'm puzzled

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I was comparing them to each other. In terms of isolation XPT100 doesn't leak any if using the angled pads with the thicker side facing the back. ATH-A900X leaks some bass. HP50 leaks everything (someone sitting next to me can point out exactly which song it is). Not exactly ideal when commuting...

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I've made (rough) adjustments in the image based on below link showing the decibel curve of a speaker. Also made one for Harmon Kadon's "best headphone curve" but didn't like it as much so went with "speaker" (dotted green curve on the link). I feel this accomplishes an apples to apples...

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I've been reading up on reviews for best closed headphones for under $200. Been looking at ATH-A900X and XPT100. What are people's thoughts between these three? Looking for natural sounding headphones which lead me to HP50 (and subsequently here). Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Also tossing in the NAD VISO HP50 into the bunch.
