  Sorry for the late reply, I have been very busy at work supporting our new line of products, including the Sonica DAC. The Sonica DAC uses op-amps and the output is AC coupled.

Just an FYI, but the Sonica speaker has been updated to support Spotify. Just upgrade the Sonica DAC and the firmware on your Sonica speaker to take advantage of the Spotify integration.

The Sonica Grand should retail for $699 and hopefully be out November-December.

  I've always recommended this USB-C to micro-USB-B adapter to customers and have not had anyone complain.   You may also need to enable Developer Tools on your phone and make sure that you have set USB Mode to MTP and set Disable USB Audio to OFF.
