Ah. Shame. I think I'll keep a look out for a set on the second hand market. Really enjoy IMR's implementation of electrostatic drivers.

Thanks. Just done a quick google and on the website looks like they're doing a "built to order" on the Astra's. Limited to 99 units and £900. Bit beyond my price point unfortunately 😕

What is the driver configuration on the Astra's. They sound like my kind of iem!

Unfortunately, I lost one of the "closed" port screws for my Halcyon a while back and have since been running them open. I admit at 48yrs old, my hearing probably isn't wasn't what it once was, but I could not discern any noticeable difference in sound. Apparently, closed back produces more...

I had the same issue with the R1 Zenith and found too, that the foam tips seemed to help with driver flex although did not completely eradicate it. Very annoying. I have not experienced any flex with Halcyon or Ozar. I know some of the tuning nozzles have holes for venting. Do you find using...

Thanks for your reply! Yeah as related to many posts on this thread, IMR iems seem to be very susceptible to burn in. I am not sure with my Halcyon as had them a good while and just played them to death. Sound fantastic anyway in my opinion. Just flexing the Ozar drivers for that small amount of...

Sat here listening to Holographic Field(48khz/24 bit) with my Cayin N3pro feeding Ozar with balanced cable. I'm very pleased (and releived!) to report that my primary concerns involving timing and incoherence have all but resolved. However, now I have reconfigured the tuning nozzles to grey...

So amazing following the IMR journey and Bobs creations, from the original R1 right through to the Enigma! Part of the reason I purchased Ozar was to experience the difference between the old generation Aten driver of the Halcyon to the new generation ADLC driver. Bob is certainly packing in...

Thanks for your positive opinions regarding the Ozar. It's given me much confidence and super excited to hear how they'll sound after I manage to get some serious burn in time on them!

Would also appreciate views on this, so as to get a sense of scale with all the many different models

, I agree. I find Halcyon is a very deep sounding iem and black lower on these is just way too much. I'm loving the sound signature on Ozar. Just need to stick some hours on them and hope it sorts out the teething problems.

Thank you Zeppmeister! I have been following this thread for a while now. It is a good source of knowledge and tips regarding IMR's, which is a company I am very impressed with due to their sonic excellence and versatility with the tuning filters. Sounds like my Ozar have had relatively low use...

IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions

Hi! New to this thread so a warm hello to everyone! I have Halcyon, which I really love, after owning the original Zenith, which I had to move on as found them to harsh in the treble. I have recently picked up a set of used Ozar and have no idea how much run time they have had. I realise it is...
