I’ve been using the DD-hifi one. It has a softer cable than the Apple one so there’s less strain on the connectors and it’s held up for over a year now.

I’ve just updated to IOS 13.3 and have noticed a high pitch noise when audio is playing and about ten seconds after it’s been paused. Has anyone else noticed this? This doesn’t happen with the apple dac. This wasn’t an issue before last night before the update. It is fairly noticeable.

I’m enjoying my new cobalt. It sounds better than my xdsd with my Westone UM 50 Pro. But I’m wondering: does a dap like the M11 Pro sound better? Thank you

Wow it sounds better with 6xx than your xdsd? I just sent my xdsd in because of battery issues and I’m pretty much sold on the cobalt. Can you share your opinion on the differences between the two devices?

I tried the Aeon closed with Arcam’s Rhead class A headphone amp with my xdsd as the source. It delivers more soundstage and separation than the xdsd alone. I’m going to go and try the amp with my hd6xx and get it if it improves the sound. The pairing between the arcam, xdsd and aeon is great...

Hey, I’ve auditioned the aeons closed with my xdsd about three times now. I’m sold but have to wait for them to restock. I played the aeons on ifi’s idsd pro in tube mode and it’s clearly better but the xdsd does a sufficient job.
